This is what TechCrunch has to say
This is Google dropping the mother of bombs on its chief rival, Microsoft. It even says as much in the first paragraph of its post, “However, the operating systems that browsers run on were designed in an era where there was no web.” Yeah, who do you think they mean by that? And it’s a genius play.
Industry is very much concerned about the security as Google is majorly an advertizing company and has a very bad reputation of tracking user history and monetizing user data and activities , it could be anything from which applications you’re using, to all the data that’s coming in and out of your computer over the network. This also includes your browsing pattern which shows your interests and time of day when you clicked particular page. Now all this will become independent of which computer you are using? Google will have more data hence more money goes to their poclets.
